Detailed Replica of George Washington’s Sword

I came across this site of a model maker whom made a detailed replica of George Washington’s sword (the one with the green handle that is held in the Smithsonian). From reading, it seemed to be an incredible experience, he got permission from the Smithsonian to have physical access to the sword to document and measure it’s details. From those measurements, he worked to create an accurate replica that is used today in living history presentations. Pretty incredible project, and great to read about here:
