Hello to all! I’m new to the forum. I’ve been interested in the American Revolution for a good long while now. With various ancestors and what not being involved it’s hard not to be. Living in Alabama though, which wasn’t even in existence at the time makes it hard to appreciate it as much as those living in the previous colonies on the east coast. I look forward to being apart of this website. Thank you for your time!

Hello Hudson! Excellent to have you here, welcome to RevWarTalk.

History is an exciting area to have an interest in, I think especially the American Revolution as it was such a formative time. That’s amazing you have ancestors involved, have you always lived in Alabama? I was very much into learing about the Civil War, which then led me further back into history to the Revolution, and I’ve been hooked since 🙂

Yes I always have! It’s a pretty state but like I said nothing to visit in terms of Revolutionary War history as far as I know.

Cool! True, physical history from that time period surely lends itself more favorably to the northeast

Excellent avatar! it’s a great illustration
