Oh and the 6th North Carolina should be under the independent reenactment links. It is active and has been around a long time.

Hello VanZandt! Welcome to the forum and thanks for coming along.

I love this period of history too, there’s just something about the time and events and the people that is fascinating. I’m from Philadelphia so have had a chance to visit a lot of local historic places, though would like to make my way down south sometime to visit locations from the southern colonies. So many important things happened there.

Did anything special originally get you interested in the period?

Also, is the website for the 6th North Carolina, http://www.6nc.org ? If yes, I’ll add it to the independent reenactment units section so other folks can see it there too.

Excellent, thank you. I added them up here: http://revwartalk.com/Independent-Units/6th-north-carolina-regiment.html

I also did some reading about them. It seems to be a truly incredible groups of re-enactors that portray history very accurately, are engaged in many many events, and seem to truly enjoy it. I was impressed with their site and their activities
