The Franklin Stove

    Another great invention from Ben Franklin was the Franklin stove. He invented it in 1741 and it succeeded in producing more heat and less smoke then the more common fireplace. Franklin did not seek intellectual property protection, and gave the design freely to others for whomever might want to recreate it.
