Sons and Daughters of the Colonial and Antebellum Bench and Bar 1565 – 1861 was organized in 1994 with the objectives to:
1. Identify and honor the memory of our ancestors who served as judges or lawyers in what is now the Continental United States
2. Collect and preserve records and documents pertaining to the history and genealogy of these ancestors
3. Produce and distribute publications relating to the history and genealogy of these judges and lawyers
4. Encourage patriotism and to engage in related educational, historical, genealogical, patriotic, literary and social activities
Membership in this society is open to anyone age 18 or older who can prove lineal descent from an ancestor who served as a judge or a lawyer prior to 12 April 1861 in any part of what is now the Continental United States of America.
